Finishing & Metalwork

Durable finishes and marking, done on our own benches. Cerakote and stencil work, fiber-laser engraving, anodizing, and parkerizing — blasted, prepped, and cured in-house, then photographed before it comes back to you. One shop for the finish and the metalwork, so your firearm isn't shipped around the country to three vendors.

Prep is the whole job

A finish is only as good as what's under it. The failures people show us — coatings that flake, colors that come out blotchy, marking that fills in — almost always trace back to prep that got rushed. We blast, clean, and degas before anything is coated, because a finish that peels in a year isn't a finish, it's a callback.

Everything is masked by hand where it matters: bores, threads, pins, and the tolerances that have to stay tight. You get the part back assembled and functional, not a bag of coated pieces for you to sort out.

Done here, documented here

Cerakote, laser engraving, anodizing, and parkerizing all happen under this roof, so nobody is waiting on a subcontractor and nobody is guessing where your firearm is. We photograph finish work before it goes back to you — partly so you can see it, partly because a shop that stands behind its work keeps a record of it.

Common questions

Do I have to disassemble my firearm before bringing it in?

Bring it however is easiest — we handle teardown and reassembly as part of the job, and we mask the areas that have to stay bare. If there's a specific way you want it apart or back together, tell us and we'll note it on the ticket.

Which finish is right for my project?

It depends on the base material and what you're after. Cerakote goes on nearly anything and carries color and patterns; anodizing is for aluminum and integrates into the metal itself; parkerizing is the correct look for a period military rifle. Tell us the part and the goal and we'll steer you to the right one instead of upselling the most expensive.

Can you match a color or finish I already have?

Yes — bring the part or a sample and we'll work from it. We handle any Cerakote or Duracoat finish and color, and we mix custom colors to hit a target, including adjusting stabilizer to dial the sheen up or down. Exact matches across different base materials and finish types aren't always possible, and we'll tell you honestly before we start rather than after.
