Gunsmithing
Handguns, rifles, shotguns, and the odd thing that's none of the above. Real gunsmith work done on our own bench — repairs, threading, trigger jobs, and cleaning — with the price quoted before we ever touch your firearm. No mystery invoices, no "we'll see when it's done."

Quoted before we touch it
The complaint we hear most about other shops is the surprise at the counter: a firearm dropped off for one thing, picked up with a bill for four. That's not how this bench runs. We look at the work, tell you what it needs and what it costs, and you decide before anything is cut, filed, or ordered. If we open it up and find more than we quoted, the firearm stops and you get a call — not a bigger invoice.
Some jobs can't be quoted sight-unseen, and we'll say so plainly rather than guess low to win the work. Drop-ins are welcome and appointments are available but never required — bring it in or send photos and a description, and we'll get you a real number. The minimum bench fee is $40, and if it turns out we can't fix or help, we'll often hand the firearm back for free.
One shop, not a relay race
Because threading, finishing, and NFA paperwork all live under this roof, a job that touches several of them doesn't get shipped around the country to three vendors. Thread a barrel for a suppressor and we can file the Form 4 for the can and cut the finish to match — same bench, same ticket, one point of contact. See the NFA Center and Finishing pages for those sides of the work.

Common questions
Will you work on my firearm if it's old, foreign, or obscure?
Usually — a lot of what comes across this bench is exactly that, and we specialize in 1911s, M1 Carbines, M1 Garands, M14s, Glocks, Sig Sauers, H&K carbines and pistols, and plenty more. There isn't much we won't work on: the exceptions are air guns, privately-made firearms, illegal firearms, and anything involving FRTs, super safeties, or similar conversion devices. Parts drive the honest answer on old and obscure guns — some need components that are hard to source or have to be made — so tell us what you have and what's wrong, and we'll tell you whether it's a fix or a fabrication job.
How long will my repair take?
Many repairs are done while you wait; jobs that need more time get checked into our system and quoted with a realistic timeline. Threading runs two to three weeks at most, trigger work one to two weeks plus parts shipping, and a repair waiting on a back-ordered part is at the mercy of the supplier — if a part hold pushes the date, you hear from us rather than wondering. Rush service is available for special projects and hard deadlines: a hunt, a trip, a competition match.
Do I need an appointment to drop something off?
No — walk-ins, drop-offs, and appointments are all accepted. Bring it by during business hours and we'll take a look and get you a quote. Fair warning: when the bench is busy, or the job needs more time than a while-you-wait look, we'll check the gun into our system and it may spend a night or two here.
