Sight Installation
Night sights, fiber optics, suppressor-height sights, a replacement front bead — removed and installed on a proper sight pusher and measured for height, so they're straight, tight, and on target. Not hammered in with a brass punch and a prayer.

Pushed, not punched
A dovetail sight goes in on a sight pusher that holds the slide square and moves the sight in a straight line, which is why it comes out centered and why the slide's finish doesn't get chewed up in the process. Front sights that are staked or screwed — Glocks, most polymer pistols — are torqued with the right tool; a rounded-off front sight nut gets drilled out and the sight replaced rather than fought with pliers. Every install is checked for center and the rear sight is set to the front, so it's on paper before you get it.
The price sheet is simple: $35 for a front sight, $35 for a rear, $55 for the set. Sights you buy here are installed free. If you're unsure which sight fits, tell us the pistol and what you want — tritium for carry, fiber for daylight, suppressor-height to see over a can — and we'll measure the slide and order the correct height.
Rifles, shotguns, and the odd one
AK rear sights swapped for tritium, a dovetail front on a Savage 99, a broken shotgun bead drilled out and a new one tapped in, an HK front post drilled and a Trijicon fitted. Sights that need a fresh dovetail cut or a new hole are a small machining job on top of the install and quoted as such. On shotguns we'll also tell you honestly whether the new bead will regulate with the rib before you pay for it.

Measure and match
The slide or barrel is measured and the sight confirmed for fit and height — ordered for you if you don't have it yet.
Push and set
The old sight comes out and the new one goes in on the pusher, centered, and staked or torqued where the design calls for it.
Check and bore-sight
Front and rear are checked for center and height, the set is laser bore-sighted, and the ticket notes anything worth knowing at the range.

Common questions
Which night sights should I get?
For a carry gun, a tritium front with a plain or blacked-out rear is what most people on this bench end up with — it's fast in bad light and doesn't clutter the picture in good. If you run a suppressor, you want suppressor-height. Tell us the pistol and how you use it and we'll recommend a set, or fit the one you already bought.
Can you install sights while I wait?
Often, when the sight is in stock and the bench isn't backed up — it's a short job. If we have to order the sight or the slide needs a dovetail cut, it checks in and you get a call when it's done.
