Laser Engraving
Fiber-laser engraving on steel, aluminum, and polymer — clean, permanent marking cut into the metal, not printed on top. We do custom logos, lettering, and serialization, and we cut the ATF-compliant marking your Form 1 build legally requires.
NFA marking, done to spec
If you're making an NFA item on a Form 1 — an SBR or a suppressor — the law requires it be engraved with your name (or your trust's name) and city and state, at least 1/16 inch tall and at least .003 inch deep. Get the size or depth wrong and it's not compliant. We cut it to that specification on our fiber laser, so the marking step of your build is handled here instead of shipped to a third party.
Doing a Form 1 with us? The engraving and the filing are the same shop — we prepare and e-file the Form 1 and cut the required marking once it's approved. See the NFA Form 1 service for how that side runs.
Custom marking and logos
Beyond compliance work, a fiber laser marks just about anything you can hand us a design for: shop logos, unit or presentation engraving, dust-cover lettering, control markings, and one-off personalization. Because it's cut into the surface, it doesn't wear off the way infill or print does.
Bring whatever art you have, in whatever format — we have graphic designers on staff who vectorize, modify, and plan artwork for stencils, engraving, and custom designs, and illustrators for fully custom work drawn from scratch. If you can describe it or hand us a file, we can get it onto the part.

For NFA work we confirm the exact required text; for custom work we set the design, size, and placement on your part before anything is cut.
Fixture & align
The part is fixtured and the mark is aligned to the surface so lettering sits square and even, including on curved receivers.
Cut & verify
The fiber laser cuts the mark. For NFA marking we verify the height and depth meet the ATF minimums before it leaves the bench.

Common questions
Does your engraving meet the ATF's Form 1 requirement?
Yes. The ATF requires the maker's name and city/state marked at least 1/16 inch tall and at least .003 inch deep, and we cut to those minimums and verify them before the part leaves. If you're filing the Form 1 with us, the marking is part of the same job.
Do I need to supply the artwork?
For plain text — names, city and state, serials — just give us the exact wording. For logos and graphics, bring what you have in any format: our in-house designers handle vectorization, cleanup, and fully custom designs, and we'll tell you what the laser can hold at your part's size. Multiple pieces getting the same artwork share a single setup, and that shows up as a discount.
Can you engrave a polymer frame?
Yes — a fiber laser marks polymer as well as metal, though the look and contrast differ from steel or aluminum. Bring the frame and we'll show you what to expect.
