The correct finish, not just a finish
Parkerizing is a phosphate conversion coating — the finish that came on M1 Garands, 1911s, and countless other military arms. On a restoration, using it isn't nostalgia; it's what makes the rifle correct. A modern coating on a WWII receiver reads as wrong to anyone who knows the platform.
Manganese phosphate gives the darker gray-black associated with wartime and later arms; zinc phosphate runs lighter and greener. We pick the process and shade to match what your specific rifle should have worn, and pair it with our restoration bench when the whole rifle is coming back to correct.
How parkerizing runs here
Match the finish
We identify the correct phosphate type and shade for the rifle and era, so the result is right for the platform rather than generic.
Strip & blast
Old finish and rust are removed and the steel is blasted to a uniform surface so the phosphate coats evenly.
Parkerize & oil
The part is parkerized in the chosen phosphate, then oiled — the porous coating holds oil, which is where its corrosion resistance comes from.

Which parkerizing color is correct for my rifle?
